The SYNERGY Brass
Quintet performed an energetic program for 800+
students at the Cailloux Theater and a masterclass
for 200+ band students at the Tivy Auditorium. As
ambassadors for band programs nationwide, SYNERGY
performed works from early Renaissance through
current movie soundtracks.
At the band masterclass,
students were encouraged to ask
questions
about each of the five brass instruments
in the quintet.
French Horn player, Jonothan Hurrell,
works with student volunteers in
a short “conducting” lesson to
direct the brass quintet.
The Kerrville
Performing Arts Society is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization,
supported financially through season subscriptions, grants, and
donations,
bringing a world of superb performing arts to the Texas
Hill Country, providing outreach programs for the youth of the
community,
and offering scholarships to the future generation of
performing artists.
