About KPAS

The Mission of the Kerrville Performing Arts Society is to promote and present professional performing artists, to provide outreach workshops to community schools and organizations, and to offer scholarship aid to area students pursuing higher education in the performing arts.

  • 27th season of providing a world-class performing arts series to the Texas Hill Country!
  • 27th season of providing unmatchable outreach programs for the youth of our community!
  • 27th season of providing scholarships to future generations of performing artists!
  • Recognized by the Kerrville Chamber of Commerce for their commitment to the community as “The Outstanding Non-Profit Organization of the Year” (2001)
  • KPAS provided funding for the first Suzuki String program in Kerrville which eventually led to the formation of the Hill Country Youth Orchestras
  • Recipient of numerous grants from Mid-America Arts Alliance, The National Endowment for the Arts, The Texas Commission on the Arts, The Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country and The City of Kerrville
  • Annual production of “Nutcracker in the Hills” since 2005
  • Incorporated in 1984, original Board Members assured the newly formed KPAS budget with personal bank notes.
