For the 2nd consecutive season, Andy and Maggie
Phillips of
Keystone Developments/The Heights of
Kerrville, took to the stage at the Cailloux
Theater to introduce KPAS’ final concert of the
season…The 5 Browns. Five siblings, all
Juilliard trained pianists and exclusively
Steinway artists, presented works by Beethoven,
Brahms, Prokofieff, Holst, Rachmaninoff, Chopin,
Debussy and Saint-Saens to over 2,000 concert
goers.
Comanche Trace co-sponsored this event to
close the Kerrville Performing Arts Society’s

The 5 Browns captivated the evening audiences
and the student outreach programs with their 50
fingers on their 5 Steinway Grands. Lillian and
Robert Treadwell join the classical pianists
following their final performance at the
Cailloux Theater. The Treadwells have sponsored
KPAS events for the past two seasons…selecting
artists that are “young in stature” and
“energetic and youthful” in their presentation.

The tenacious
Ten Tenors received numerous encores after
their thrilling evening performance presented by
the Kerrville Performing Arts Society. After
posing for this photo with Mrs. Beverly
Pevehouse, KPAS sponsor for this special event,
the ten dynamos signed autographs in the lobby
for an additional 45 minutes, following their
two-hour non-stop entertainment package. |

Neil Berg’s
100 YEARS OF BROADWAY captivated the
audiences during two performances at The
Cailloux Theater. The five Broadway stars sang
two hours of hit songs from Rodgers &
Hammerstein to Andrew Lloyd Webber. Pictured

For the 3rd
consecutive season,
The Hill Country Center for Cancer Care
sponsored yet another KPAS performance,
providing an opportunity for staff and cancer
patients to attend the concert by the
outstanding brass ensemble,
SYNERGY. During intermission of the first
show, Dr. Valerian Chyle and his wife, Mary
Walker-Chyle (left) along with Dr. David Jones
and his wife, Lane Jones (right), took their
turn with the brass instruments.
Cecil Atkission Motors also sponsored
Synergy’s four appearances in Kerrville
including two evening performances for the
general public, a masterclass for KISD Band
Students in Grades 6-12, and an outreach program
for over 800 local youth. |

Carolyn (seated)
and Bob Carlisle of Kerrville sponsored the
Tuesday evening performance of
SYNERGY Brass Quintet for the Kerrville
Performing Arts Society. Over the past several
years, Carolyn has been involved with KPAS
serving on the Board of Directors, and her
personal support, enthusiasm and dedication have
resulted in KPAS’ recent successes during their
25th Anniversary Season. The Carlisles enjoyed
the student involvement with Synergy Brass
Quintet, and visited with students from
Kerrville ISD and Leakey ISD following the
performance. |

Recent
concertgoers at the Cailloux Theater experienced
an evening of Argentinean culture. Presented by
the Kerrville Performing Arts Society,
TANGO FIRE provided a fiery evening of
dance, live music and colorful costumes. On
Monday evening, the fancy footwork of the five
pair of dancers was made possible through the
generous donations of KPAS Sponsors (L-R) Bryant
and Brenda Williams, Kent McKinney, and Sheri
Davenport and Cynthia Anderson of
Veranda Real Estate. |

The Tuesday
evening performance followed a morning outreach
program for over 800 students from surrounding
area schools. KPAS and its sponsors provide
these outreach programs free of charge to local
students providing an opportunity for school
children to attend a live performance at the
Cailloux Theater. Pictured above with the cast

Two SOLD OUT performances by
DRUMLine Live! provided the
opportunity for over 1,600 local residents to attend this
dynamic show featuring blending musical genres of marching
bands, drumlines, Motown, the Big Band Era and Gospel,
culminating with the lobby of the Cailloux Theater becoming a
dance floor for the audience. The Friday evening performance was
made possible through the generous donations of
James Avery
Craftsman and the law firm of
Oppenheimer Blend Harrison + Tate,
Inc. and the Mid-America Art Alliance. Representing their local
businesses with cast members from DRUMLine Live are (from

The Saturday evening performance was dedicated in memory of
former KPAS Board Member and visionary of the present direction
of the organization, Charles Browning. Four local sponsors, Joe
& Sue Atkinson, Steve & Nelwyn Clack, Tom & Charlotte Daniels,
and The Foy Foundation, united their efforts for the evening as
a tribute to Charles Browning. The sponsors joined the Browning
